While our internet presence and the rapid growth of our YouTube Channel has been really exciting, there have been a lot of other amazing things about 2013. Of course this year is far from over, but there is something about the fall that puts me in the mood to reflect back a bit. Perhaps it’s the harvest instinct that is deep within all of us. Because in addition to the internet, this was by far our biggest year in radio.
Our good friend, Adam Leibovitz, at ASL Music Media Promotions, headed up our campaign for U.S. Smooth Jazz Radio. Two of our songs, “To Be With You Again”, and “The Outsider” were picked up by stations all over the country. Both songs made it onto national top 40 charts, and are actually still being played in spite of the fact that our campaign ended several months ago.
And Amanda Alexandrakis, of Music Promotion, Inc., got our music on radio all over Australia, Great Britain, and Europe. We made it onto the National Radio of many European countries, including Germany and Holland. But the biggest coup, was that the BBC in London featured our music on the Jamie Cullum Show. That’s considered by many to be the top jazz show in all of Europe.
So I have to say, that as of this year, hundreds of thousands, and perhaps millions of people worldwide have listened to Professor RJ Ross. There’s a trend here, and I really like the way it’s trending:-)
